Personal Development & Enrichment
Quote from our most recent SIAMS inspection:
"Character development is a strength of the school. Pupils are very well supported to become young leaders. They think deeply about concerns, both within the school community and the wider world. They recognise injustice and act as agents of change."
At St Peter’s, personal development and enrichment are at the heart of our vision, Let Your Light Shine. We provide every child with opportunities to grow in confidence, character and independence, developing spiritually, morally, socially, culturally, physically and emotionally. Through our curriculum, relationships, worship, leadership opportunities and a rich programme of clubs, visits, visitors, performances, sport and wider experiences, we encourage children to discover their talents, develop their interests, build resilience and make a positive contribution to our school, community and wider society. Rooted in our Christian values of Love, Hope, Trust, Thankfulness and Respect, we ensure that every child is valued, included and supported to participate, flourish and develop the knowledge, skills and character they need to thrive now and in the future. Our aim is that every child leaves St Peter’s knowing their own worth, recognising the value of others and feeling confident and equipped to let their light shine.
Through all these enrichment activities, our children develop their character, demonstrate our school values and develop personally in so many ways.
